Tanning FAQs

  • We have two different solution lines, both all natural and organically based with the blushtan having an added hydration and anti-aging benefit, and three options within each line depending on when you want your initial rinse off to be.

  • Your skin type and when you want to rinse off will determine which solution you should use, your technician will go over all options to decide which would be best.

  • The tan should last 5-7 days but is dependent upon how well you prep the skin, how well you take care of the tan, and your genetics. Sometimes the tan will last 7-10 days, sometimes it will only last 3-5 days.

  • 2 days before an event is best while the day before you leave on vacation is best for a trip.

  • Nails, hair removal, and massage should all have be done before coming in for your spray tan. The soaking in chemicals and exfoliation during nail services will remove the tan, hair removal is a form of exfoliation which will remove the tan, and the combination of heavy oils and constant friction from a massage will remove the tan.

  • We use a water based solution so no staining should happen on the nails, unless they are a light matte finish, and the solution will launder out of any clothing, sheets, or other fabrics however using a dark cloth to protect your furniture and car upholstery us recommended.

  • All pre tan instructions can be found on the tanning page of our website but it’s best to prepare the day before by showering normally and doing any of your hair removal that you need, and finishing with a sunless tanning safe exfoliator as the last step in your prep. Please do not add anything to the skin after your shower unless you plan to exfoliate it off before you come in for your tanning appointment.

  • The clothing in the spray tan room is completely up to your comfort level, just keep in mind the tan lines that will be left behind after we spray you. And no, we do not recommend leaving a top or bottom on that you don’t like the lines of and trying to move or adjust it mid tan. After your spray tan loose, dark clothing and flip flops are best to leave in.

  • Any activity that dries the skin out or will exfoliate the skin will prematurely remove your tan. Ocean and pool water, sand, shaving or any hair removal, aerosol sunscreen, heavily scented products, heavy oils, excessive friction of clothing on skin during a workout, or rubbing down with your towel post shower.

  • Twenty five minutes max

  • Either just your legs or it’s your arms, chest, and face. The torso is always left out, and everything but the torso is still considered a full body tan.

  • Yes but we suggest lowering the intensity and trying not to wear clothing too tight, including a sports bra as the excessive friction by itself or combined with sweat will rub lines into your tan.

  • Whenever you wish! It’s best to wait for the previous tan to fade completely but if that option is unavailable, try to exfoliate as much of it off before coming back in as you can.

Lash FAQs

  • No! The lashes already have a curl so if you try to use a lash curler it will bend the extensions out of shape causing them to bend in weird directs or the curler will break the adhesive bond at the base resulting in premature loss of extensions.

  • Yes, but all previous lashes must be removed and it should be done before any lashes are applied.

  • Lash extensions last as long as your natural lashes do which have a life cycle of 4-6 weeks. They however are not on the same cycle so your lashes will start to look sparse around week 2 or week 3.

  • Not at all. The hardest part to get used to is touching your lashes as little as possible. They are super easy to clean and care for.

  • Depends on the look you want. The difference between a half and a full set is the number of lashes applied, so a full set looks denser. The classic set is an individual lash of a thicker diameter applied to one of your individual lashes. The volume set is a fan of 3-4 thinner diameter lashes applied the your individual lash. The hybrid set is a combination of the two.

  • No, it does not ruin your lashes. As long as your technician knows what they’re doing to keep the integrity of your natural lashes in tact, you should never have an issue with your extensions.

Teeth Whitening FAQs

  • Expect little to no sensitivity after using SunnaSmile; it was formulated with sensitive teeth in mind. It’s safe on enamel, protects gums, causes little to no sensitivity, and is a registered natural health product. A very small percentage of people will have minor discomfort in their mouth and this normally dissipates within 10 minutes.

  • You can do any of our other services in the same appointment as your teeth whitening though we would do your spray tan last.

  • The SunnaSmile gel absorbs the LED light energy, which photo-chemically "excites" the peroxide molecules into breaking down faster. It provides "activating energy" that speeds up and improves the performance of whitening. The SunnaSmile LED light activates the professional whitening gel upon contact to provide visible results in just 15 minutes

  • Our regular system can get you about 1-3 shades of shift and the super system can get you about 3-5 shades of shift. However, everyone’s teeth have a natural threshold they can’t get past so your teeth will only whiten as much as genetics allow.
